UppercarriagesThe company’s Mechanical Engineering unit has been producing uppercarriages as base carriers for BAUER drilling rigs since 2003. These BAUER BT series uppercarriages were developed in partnership between SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN GmbH and BAUER Maschinen GmbH. |

UndercarriagesThe company’s undercarriages are specially designed for heavy-duty site operations, carrying construction machinery with operating weights of between 45 and 200 tonnes. Two basic principles of undercarriage telescoping have become established as the norm: the beam-in-beam solution and H-geometry. SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN covers the full spectrum of products and services relating to undercarriages – from concept planning, design and manufacture through to field service. |

Well-drilling rigsThe company’s rotary well-drilling rigs have been in production since 2005, in collaboration with PRAKLA Bohrtechnik GmbH. |

Hydraulic power packsHydraulic power packs have been designed and manufactured by SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN GmbH since 2003. The container-style units are designed to power a wide range of hydraulic equipment, such as cutters and deep vibrators. There are currently two models in the range, featuring capacities of up to 460 and 1,500 litres per minute respectively. |

Structural steel engineeringIn addition to the structural steel engineering carried out for the machinery manufacturing projects already mentioned, the Nordhausen facility produces up to 4,000 tonnes a year of heavy-duty innovative structural steel, in particular steel bridge elements of up to 100 tonnes for steel and composite steel bridges. |
