The Civil Engineering division of SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN GmbH is constructing pre-stressed concrete, steel and composite steel bridges for a modern infrastructure. It also handles complex engineering works such as trough structures as so called "white tanking", open cut tunnels as well as selected hydraulic engineering projects.
History
Many years of experience in large-scale underground engineering and mining projects as well as the traditional know-how in the fields of civil engineering, structural steel engineering and plant construction have led SCHACHTBAU NORDHAUSEN GmbH since 1990 to move into new fields of business including the construction of steel and pre-stressed concrete bridges.
Based on the urgent demand for construction of transportation infrastructure in Germany following reunification, the newly established Civil Engineering division succeeded in quickly establishing a sound footing in the market.
